MSTRY COFFEE x
WorldFest-Houston International

Film Festival

For the 59th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, MSTRY partnered with the festival to create something meaningful:

The Legacy Roast—a custom coffee crafted in memory of founder Hunter Todd.

A cup built to celebrate vision, courage, creativity, and the decades he spent bringing the world together through film.

Text on the package states "Single Origin Chiapas, Mexico," notes of milk chocolate, toasted nuts, and citrus, and it is sourced from the 59th WorldFest Houston.

It’s one of a kind.
Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

More Than a Festival

59 years of independent voices from around the world

WorldFest-Houston has long been a home for bold, thought-provoking independent cinema.

This year’s festival features:

  • 34 feature films

  • 89 short films

  • filmmakers from 22 countries

But behind the festival’s global reach was one man whose life work made it possible:

Hunter Todd

For nearly six decades, he built and led WorldFest-Houston with relentless passion—creating a place where artists could be seen, heard, and celebrated.

We didn’t need to blend the whole world.

At first glance, a global film festival might call for a massive multi-origin blend from every corner of the globe. But that’s not the real story.

The true connection isn’t geography. Not really.

It’s relationships. Genuine connections and community crafted over decades…by a singular force in Houston, Texas.

One person whose vision brought all of those countries, voices, and creators together year after year.

So instead of trying to represent everywhere—we chose to honor the one who made it all possible.

A tribute in every cup

To create the right coffee, we looked deeper into Hunter Todd’s story.

That search led us to Kathleen Haney Todd, Hunter’s wife, whose Mexican heritage inspired the heart of this roast.

From the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico, The Legacy Roast was born. Elegant, layered, and comforting.

A coffee crafted to honor family, memory, and legacy.

Small batch (25 pounds roasted for 50 bags and 10 pounds of bulk coffee). Locally roasted in Houston, TX.
